We leave a week from tomorrow. I just booked all of our excursions. We are very, very excited. We are eating at the early seating--6:15. On our actual anniversary day (at sea--woohoo!) we are eating at 7:00 in the Normandie restaurant--the upcharge, reservations required restaurant.

These are the tours' "official names." We are sailing on Celebrity--Summit is the name of our ship. We leave on 10/3/09. We are very, very excited. (Did I say that already? Well, we are!) We are staying 2 extra days in Venice. We fly home on 10/19. And get this...we leave Venice at approximately 2:00 in the afternoon, and we get to Chicago around 7:30 in the evening of the very same day! We will be so tired. But Josh is taking Tuesday off, too, so after we fight over who gets up with the dog, we should have a full day to recoup together. And unpack. I wonder if he knows he'll have to work a little bit, too.

That sounds fabulous! I can't wait to see pics. My favorite tour name is "Best of Istanbul without lunch over two days." I hope you get to eat somewhere in there!
"Best of Istanbul without lunch over two days" is a 4.5 hour tour. We're not sure it that is 4.5 hours each day, or all together. In either event, there will be plenty of food on the ship and we will most definitely eat breakfast. I think we'll be okay. There is never a lack of food to found on a cruise ship.
